Our assessment
Editorial — Our editors' view, not vendor data.Strengths
- The plans page shows the first-term price and the renewal rate side by side
- Daily backups, a free CDN and free email accounts are listed in the feature list
- The higher plans allow unlimited sites
- A 30-day guarantee applies to initial shared-hosting orders; renewals can be cancelled within 30 days
Limitations
- Not the right fit if you want a low price that stays low: StartUp renews at €15.99 after a €3.99 first term; GrowBig goes from €6.99 to €27.99 (excl. VAT)
- Not the right fit for several sites on the cheapest plan: StartUp covers one site; unlimited sites start at GrowBig
- Not the right fit if you need a stated traffic cap or overage policy: the pages we read give only suggested visit figures
- The first-term price needs a prepaid term, and the entry plan renews at about four times that price (our arithmetic)
- Domain fees are not refundable
- Prices here are for SiteGround's EU site (EUR, excl. VAT). For other countries the price and currency may differ, so check the price on the page you land on.
