Which Pipedrive plan does a small team need?

The price difference between Pipedrive's plans is easy to read. What the plan lets you do is not, so this guide starts from what you need and works back to the plan.

Who this is for

A team of two to fifteen people who have already decided on Pipedrive, or are comparing it with HubSpot, and want to know which of its four plans to start on. For the comparison itself, see HubSpot vs Pipedrive for a small sales team.

How Pipedrive charges

Pipedrive charges per seat. Its help page says you are charged per seat whether or not it is assigned to a user, and that annual billing means paying up front for the whole year at a discount, while monthly billing is paid each month. Its pricing page says prices exclude VAT and offers a 14-day free trial without a credit card; no free plan is listed.

The limits that matter for follow-up

Growth5055,000 × seats (up to 300,000)

Ultimate2505020,000 × seats (up to 300,000)

Lite has no automations and no sequences. Follow-up that runs by itself starts at Growth, so a team that wants a first reply and a reminder sent automatically has to start there, not on Lite. The limits are per company, not per seat, except the leads and deals allowance, which grows with the number of seats.

Add-ons are separate lines

Add-ons as the pricing page lists them, 'starting from' amounts in USD with annual billing selected
Add-onStarting from
LeadBooster$32.50

Smart Docs$32.50

The pricing page does not state whether these amounts are per seat or per company, so confirm the unit before you budget for one. Pipedrive's help page on automated campaigns says they need the Campaigns add-on and lists the plans that can use it by names that differ from those on the pricing page; check eligibility on the live pricing page.

If you need this, look at this plan

Start on the lowest plan that lists the thing you would otherwise do by hand every week, and move up when a limit or a missing feature costs you more than the price difference. That is a rule of thumb, not a measured result.

Editorial opinion

When Pipedrive is not the right fit

  • Your whole selling team is one or two people and you want to pay nothing yet: no free plan is listed, only a trial.
  • You want a mailing tool inside the same product: its email campaigns need the Campaigns add-on, which the pricing page lists as a separate add-on.
  • Your main job is nurturing a large contact list rather than managing deals: that points to marketing-automation software; see choosing a CRM for a small B2B service business.

Check before you buy

  • Count everyone who will edit records: you pay for each seat, assigned or not.
  • Decide the billing basis: a year paid up front, or month to month at a higher price.
  • Confirm VAT with your country's rules; the page quotes prices without it.
  • Write down which follow-up actions must run automatically; if any, Growth is the floor.
  • Run the trial with twenty real past enquiries and one written follow-up routine before you pay.

A practical next step

Once you have picked a plan, build the automatic part: website form to CRM to email follow-up on Make, Zapier or n8n.

Frequently asked questions

Is the annual price a 12-month commitment?

Pipedrive's help page says annual billing means you pay up front for the entire year and receive a discount; monthly billing is paid each month.

Are the prices shown with VAT?

Pipedrive's pricing page says its prices are VAT exclusive; VAT is billed to EU customers at their country's rate unless a valid VAT number is provided.

Which plan includes automations?

Automations and sequences start at the second plan, Growth. Lite has none in Pipedrive's limits table.

Can I try it before paying?

The pricing page offers a free 14-day trial, and says no credit card is required.

How much does Pipedrive cost for a small team?

Pipedrive charges per seat per month, so the cost is the plan price multiplied by the number of seats. On Pipedrive's pricing page (checked 2 November 2026, USD, excluding VAT), Growth is $39 per seat per month billed annually or $49 billed monthly. For 5 seats that is $2,340 a year with annual billing, or $2,940 over 12 months with monthly billing. The seat-cost table above gives the same figures as monthly totals ($195 or $245 for 5 Growth seats) and covers all four plans for 3, 5 and 10 seats.

How we verify

What this guide does not cover

  • Testing. No product was used for this guide; it reads published pages.
  • Other plans' fine print. Pipedrive's feature lists are summaries on its pricing page; read the full plan comparison before relying on a specific feature.
  • Implementation cost. Setup, migration and training time are yours to estimate.
  • Regional prices. The page showed US dollars for the region it detected.
