Make

by Make · Business Automation

Visual automation platform for building multi-step scenarios across apps and AI.

Who it fits: Teams that build multi-step automations in a visual builder, want to try a free plan first, and are comfortable budgeting by credits rather than by individual tasks.

Make (formerly Integromat) is a hosted visual workflow builder where users assemble scenarios from app modules. Pricing is credit-based with a free tier and plans scaled by monthly credits. Per Make's help centre (updated 30 Oct 2026), most non-AI app modules cost 1 credit per operation whatever the data size, so a run that executes four such modules uses about four credits, and 1,000 runs about 4,000 credits (our arithmetic; Make's 'Credits by module type' page lists the exceptions). AI modules can cost more: some Make AI Content Extractor modules cost 2 or 10 credits per operation, and Make's own AI provider charges by tokens.

Our assessment

Editorial — Our editors' view, not vendor data.

Strengths

  • Visual scenario builder with routing and branching for multi-step workflows
  • A free plan is available to try the builder before paying
  • Router and error-handler modules are not counted as credits, according to the vendor
  • Paid plans from the Core tier upward list unlimited active scenarios
  • Annual billing lowers the monthly equivalent price

Limitations

  • Usage is measured in credits, which are not interchangeable with Zapier tasks or n8n executions
  • AI modules may consume more credits per run, so cost is harder to forecast
  • Extra credits bought on top of the plan expire
  • The free plan limits how often scenarios can run, so check the interval before relying on it for time-sensitive work
  • The annual price shown is a monthly equivalent that requires a year-long commitment; monthly billing costs more
  • Price depends on the credit tier chosen, and the card shows one tier only
